Brookwood Pottery offers a welcoming and hands-on pottery class experience, ideal for both beginners and those looking to refine their ceramic skills. Experience

Spend the day learning about pottery and handthrowing!

  • €140 per person, Groups of 4, Once off classes every Saturday until Mid November and then resuming again in January 2025
  • Each student has their own electric wheel for the day and unlimited clay. In a small class of 4 we will guide you through the steps of creating on the potter's wheel, centring, coning in, throwing and shaping the clay.
  • You then get to pick 2 of your best pots which we will fire and glaze for you. Please call 2/3 weeks after the class to check if your pots are ready!

FAQ

How long are the classes for? What time are they on?

The day runs from 10am to 4pm with a 1 hour lunch break. There are loads of nice cafes in the area to choose from including Kennedy's, 2 Pups Cafe, Javaholics and Fresh Market!

Where do the classes take place? How to get there?

We host the classes in our Marino Mart Studio in Dublin 3, D03Y298

  • DART - Get off at Clontarf and is a 5 minute walk to the studio
  • BUS - from the City Centre, 14, 15, 27, 27A, 27B, 42 or 43
  • CAR - There's limited free parking in Marino Estate behind the pottery, paid on street car parking in front of the studio

How much does it cost?

The classes cost €140, spend the day learning about pottery and how to use the potter's wheel. Each student has their own electric wheel for the day and unlimited clay!

Can we take our pottery home?

Each student will get to pick 2 of their best pots which we will fire and glaze for you. Please call 2/ 3 weeks after the class to check if your pots are ready!

What do I wear? What do I bring?

An apron & a tea towel Wear old loose comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty! Please keep nails short and tie up loose hair.

What's the cancellation or refund policy?

We do not offer refunds on these classes. If you cannot make a class you can offer it to a friend, but please let us know their name and number beforehand. We require 3 weeks notice in advance of your class for rescheduling. We cannot reschedule classes with less notice.
